Registration blanks for automobiles are now available for all University students who plan to maintain cars in Cambridge. All students must register their automobiles by October 7 and sign a pledge to keep their vehicles off the streets.
The ruling is being enforced for the first time this fall and carries with it a ten dollar fine for failure to register. The registration fee is one dollar.
Recognizing the high cost of garaging cars, the University has opened a parking lot for undergraduates behind the Business School and various lots for graduate students near the Graduate Center.
A charge of $15 per term for overnight parking will apply to all lots and day parking at the Business School area will carry a $7.50 tab.
Men living in the Graduate Center will be assigned to the 120 spaces in that area on a priority basis. Priority will be determined by particular-need and by class.
