Winthrop's Sextet Whips Adams 8-1; Dudley Triumphs

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Leverett's novice goalie Dave Lanier played a fine game in the intramural hockey league yesterday, but he wasn't enough to stop the championship Dudley team from winning, 5 to 3. Eliot beat a weak Kirkland six, 5 to 1, and Winthrop soundly trounced Adams, 8 to 1.

Fritz Drill, Bob Baldwin, and George Langden sparked the Puritan powerhouse with two goals each. Dave Cabot gave assists to both Drill and Langden.

Dudley and Eliot continued their winning ways in the "A" basketball league. The Commuters defeated Winthrop 42 to 30, staying ahead all the way. Eliot won going away from Adams, 42 to 35.

The hapless Gold Coasters had a completely bad day, as Kirkland defeated them in the "A" squash league three matches to two.
