Radcliffe went down in ignominious defeat at Dartmouth this year without even rating a place on the Carnival hit parade which listed Smith, Colby Junior, and Mt. Holyoke as the first three with Wellesley in fifth place. Radcliffe sported four girls with Hanover dates this year in comparison to the nine who were present at the '50 Carnival.

Lack of proximity is no excuse. Lack of interest is no excuse either. It can only be blamed on Harvard monopolies, since 18 'Cliffedwellers showed up with Harvard men.
