Harvard was able to gain only a sixth place in yesterday's Heptagonal Meet as Army romped to a decisive victory. Yale, last year's champion, finished in second place, 12 points behind Army's 52 1/3, Princeton, Cornell, and Dartmouth trailed the first two in that order.

Defending champion Charley Moore of Cornell nipped Ronnie Berman of the Crimson by three yards to retain his 600-yard crown. Moore's time was 1:13, with Berman two tenths of a second behind.

In the afternoon field events, Al Wilson was able to get a second in the 35-pound weight behind Army's Sam Lutterloh, Wilson's distance was 54 feet, 2 1/2 inches, one foot behind the winner.

Other Harvard men who scored in the afternoon events were Dick Barwise, who was in a three-way tie for third in the high jump, and Jerry Kanter with a fifth in the shot.

In last night's running events Dick Weiskopf was fourth in the 60 yard dash, while Dave Cairns picked up a fifth in the mile.
