Facilities for television instruction have been installed in Aldrich Hall, the Business School's new classroom building, Richard Chapin, Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration, said yesterday.
Chapin said that the necessary wiring for a television circut is in place, and that "we are prepared, if we should ever want to use television in these classrooms, to install it at a minimum cost."
No Plans Yet
He specifically noted, however, that no plans have been made to utilize television as a teaching medium at the Business School. "Such a thing," he said, "hasn't even been discussed yet."
Parker Wheatly, director of WGBH, the Lowell Institute station, also reported yesterday that "We are working together (with WHRB) in wiring up the University for radio and FM through the steam tunnels, and it may be possible to transmit television through the tunnels for enough to cover the Business School."
