Amherst gave the varsity squash team no more competition than anyone expected yesterday and no one expected very much. Jack Barnaby's team turned in another perfect match, downing the Lord Jeffs 9 to 0 at Amherst.

Charlie Ufford completely outclassed his opponent, allowing him only 18 points in the entire match. The scores were 15-5, 15-5, 15-8.

Dave Watts also outclassed his man, but he hit a lot of easy shots into the tin in the opening games. His scores: 15-10, 13-15, 15-4, 15-6.

The last seven men each moved up one position, since third man Hadden Tomes was sick and could not make the trip. Nevertheless, they all won easily with the exception of Larry Brownell and Mike Ward, who had to go five games. Charlie Elliott and Johnny Rauh won in four games, and Guy Paschal, Bill Wister, and Steve Sonnabend won in three.

The freshman team defeated the Harvard Club in a Metropolitan League C match, 3 to 2. Lanny Thomas, Pete Milton, and Brooks Harris won for the Yardlings.
