Banned Book On Sale

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A Boston bookseller will put on the stands copies of "U.S.A. Confidential" at 10 a.m. this morning. Two weeks ago, state officials advised dealers that the books contained libelous material and should not be sold.

The Boston store, which is part of Doubleday and Company's chain, will be the first store that has flaunted the state's warning not to sell the book. No Square store has offered to sell the book.

Reportedly the store has already informed officials that it will sell the book as a test case.

It is not known what stand police or the publishers will take.
