Two Crimson ends were out of the lineup following football practice yesterday, and one may be lost for the season.
Bob Cochran, who had been sidelined until this week with a broken leg, suffered a re-fracture late in the workout. It is not yet known how long Cochran will be out, but he was out over a month after the original break.
Harvey Popell, one of the varsity's starting ends in the first three games, was in Stillman Infirmary "under observation," according to Coach Lloyd P. Jordan. No estimate on how long he will be out of action has been made.
Jordan sent the team through a long offensive scrimmage against the JVs, with emphasis on passing. Captain Dick Clasby, Joe Convelman and Carroll Lowenstein did most of the tossing.
Bob Cowles, who suffered a shoulder sprain in Saturday's game, was back at practice, but only in sweat clothes. He may not be able to play Saturday.
