Over 150 people attended the first function to be held in the Business School's new Aldrich Hall yesterday, when the B-School Finance Club held a cocktail party in the Aldrich Exhibition Room.
The $2,900,000 building includes tiered, U-shaped classrooms designed especially for the school's case-method of class discussion instruction. It has not been officially opened yet, however.
The structure is named after Nelson W. Aldrich, who donated the funds for the construction and partial endowment.
The exterior is in keeping with the Business School's traditional colonial architecture, while the interior is modern, with artificial light and filtered air.
