Nominations for three junior and three sophomore positions on the Student Council are now open, Albert B. Levin '56, council president, said yesterday. The nominations will be followed by elections to these positions on Dec. 7.
The Student Council this year has changed the sequence of the elections, Levin said, so that the choice for a few positions will precede the general council elections to be held on Dec. 9. Those who lose in the preliminary elections may still run as House representatives, if they choose.
Candidates for class representatives must submit petitions with 25 signatures to the council office in PBH, while aspirants for the House positions need the approval of 20 signers. Both sets of petitions must be turned in by Nov. 30.
