Political Clubs Join In Hynes Campaign

In spite of the fact neither the H.Y.D.C. or the H.Y.R.C. endorsed the candidacy of John B. Hynes, incumbent Mayor of Boston, members of the two organizations visited about 200 homes last week campaigning on his behalf.

John R. Thompson, president of the H.Y.R.C., explained that no official endorsement had been made because no Republican is participating in the mayoralty elections. About ten students a night, according to Thompson, had visited the voters in one of the Boston wards.

From the H.Y.D.C., headed by Gordon A. Martin, Jr. '57, vice-president of the H.Y.D.C., two campaigners went to 100 apartments in the Back Bay area last Friday.
