In the opening games of the Interhouse football league, Leverett held Dudley to a 7 to 7 tie, while Kirkland and Adams played to a scoreless tie.

In soccer, Adams emerged victorious over Dudley, 4 to 0, while Lowell and Dunster tied in an overtime match.

Walker Scores for Dudley

Dudley's touchdown was made by Fred Walker, who pounced on a fumble by the Leverett quarterback early in the first period. The second period was scoreless, but Bob Storey of Leverett ran 55 yards at the end of the third period to tie the score.

A number of fumbles by both teams made the match a ragged one, although Al Lubetkin of Dudley made runs of 20 and 50 yards in a vain attempt to score again, in the last minutes of the game.

Fumbles also spoiled a last-minute attempt to score by both Kirkland and Adams. Kirkland marched from mid-field to the 15-yard line, where the quarterback fumbled on a sneak pass, which Adams recovered, but fumbled after two tries. A recovery and another fumble by Kirkland let Adams pick up the ball on the 20 with no time remaining.

Adams will play Dunster next Tuesday, while Leverett will meet Eliot on Wednesday. Next Thursday, Dudley will meet Winthrop and Kirkland will open against Lowell. This afternoon's games will match Winthrop against Lowell and Eliot against Dunster.
