Swimming Team Meets Light Blue At I.A.B. Tonight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Johnson 440 and Columbia's Dave Orrik will be the feature events at tonight's swimming meet at the I.A.B. Starting time is 8 p.m.; because of the special 440-yard race, there is no assurance as to when the meet will be over.

Orrik has won ten straight 100-yard events for the Lions, with times of around 53 seconds, and covers the 50 in 24. The Crimson, moreover, will be without the services of its record-holding sprinter, Chouteau Dyer, who has a sore throat.

Aside from Orrik and Fred Silverblatt in the breaststroke, Columbia has little opposition to offer. Perennial doormats of the E.I.S.L., the Lions are currently tied with Pensylvania for last place in the League.

The feature event of the evening the Johnson 440, is named in honor of crimson sprinter Gus Johnson.
