William S. Barnes, assistant Dean of the Law School, will give his views on the loyalty oath provisions of the NDEA at the organizational meeting of the Harvard Young Republican Club tonight at 7:30 in the Lamont Library Forum Room.
In his talk, Education, Loyalty, and Taxes, Barnes will discuss whether or not the University's position on the oaths can be taken by the U.S. school system generally. He will also speak Sunday before the Harvard Young Democratic Club, whose endorsement he is seeking in his campaign for a seat on the Cambridge School Committee.
