Yardlings Halt Tigers, Retain League Lead

The Crimson freshman football team retained its position at the head of the Ivy League race Saturday with a 14-7 victory over Princeton.

After a scoreless first half, the Yardlings went over the goal line twice in the third period on two long drives down the middle of the field. Roger Nobak coverted twice for the extra points.

Princeton's single wing offense, hampered by a very muddy field, tallied in the middle of the final period, when the Tigers launched an effective 70 yard ground attack and scored on an end run.

A strong Yale team poses the only threat to Crimson league domination. A victory over the Yardlings will give the Eli's, who have have sustained one Ivy loss, at least a tie for the title.
