Cambridge Mayor Edward A. Crane, 35, said during an interview Monday that Robert Rudolph, city traffic commissioner, "certainly ought to last out the snow season."

Rudolph has came under heavy fire from Council members for his emergency parking plan effective during snow storms.

Councilor Alfred E. Vellucci, who has been particularly hostile to Rudolph, said Monday, "Rudolph is going to go on his reindeer I think come one day soon."
