The lovely damsel on the right will throw her bouquet to the public Monday at 1 p.m. in front of the Hasty Pudding. She is Lee Remick, the Pudding's Woman of the Year.

"It's been the highest honor of the year," said Miss Remick, reached by phone in California last night. "My father will be very pleased. He was a graduate of Harvard."

As Woman of the Year, Miss Remick joins such celebrities as Rosalind Russell, Shirley MacClaine, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Mamie Eisenhower.

The Hollywood star's motereade, accompanied by a siren-blasting Cambridge police escort, will cross the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge and journey up the avenue to Holyoke St. At the Pudding, Miss Remick will meet such dignitaries as Dean Watson, Edward A. Crane '35, mayor of Cambridge, and the entire cast of this year's Pudding Theatrical, "No Hard Feelings."

After wining, dining, and cavorting at the Pudding, she will retire to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston and conduct a press conference about her new film, "Hallelujah Trail," to be released this spring.

Miss Remick won an Academy Award nomination for her performance in "The Days of Wine and Roses," in which she helped her alcoholic husband. Jack Lemmon '47, and became an alcoholic herself. More recently she has starred opposite Steve McQueen in "Baby the Rain Must Fall."

Martin Ritt, Miss Remick's director in another film, "The Long Hot Summer," has called her "one of the most exciting new personalities I have seen. She jumps at you from the screen."
