Lowell House reaffirmed its superiority in the racket sports by adding the tennis championship to the Prentice Squash Cup it won this fall.

Possession of the Pell Tennis Trophy was decided last Wednesday when Lowell and Eliot, two net juggernauts, clashed head on with undefeated records. Lowell reached deep into its supply of hidden ex-freshmen stars and dealt a 5-2 defeat to the Elephant team that had handily disposed of all its previous opposition.

Nick Hoogs and assistant senior tutor March McCall won a crucial three set doubles match that brought Lowell victory. Chris Couglin, Charlie Whipple, and Ron Chester topped Tilot's third, fourth, and fifth men. Number one man Eric Wallach and coach Steve Griffith sparked close wins over Dunster, which finished third, and Winthrop, which was sixth behind Kirkland and Leverett.
