The Harvard fencers closed their sea-son with a last-place finish at the 71st annual Intercollegiate Fencing Association Championships in Princeton's Dillon Gymnasium last weekend.

Captain Harry Jergesen turned in the best Crimson performance with a tie for fifth place in the individual epee competition. He had earned a slot in the individuals by winning seven of his eleven team matches at first epee.

The other Crimson duelers fared less well. In the sabre Bob Barnard and all-Ivy Ron Winfield could muster only three wins apiece, as did Cliff Ruderman in the foil and John Reitz in the epee.

NYU outpointed the other 12 squads to capture the three-weapon team title. Columbia's swordsmen dominated the round-robin individual tournaments with a sweep of firsts in the foil, epee, and sabre.
