SDS Takes No Stand On Faculty's Meeting

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

SDS's 15-member strike steering committee has adopted no official position regarding either yesterday's Faculty meeting or the proposal to abolish ROTC that will be voted on by the Faculty Thursday.

However, according to Richard E. Hyland '69-3, a member of the steering committee, SDS will continue striking until its eight demands are met, regardless of Faculty action on the ROTC issue.

With regard to Monday's mass meeting at Soldiers' Field, Hyland said, SDS is very pleased at all the student support for the strike, but does not endorse the teaching fellows' proposal. "There are some problems with that proposal," Hyland said. "They're fuzzy on expansion--and people can get hung up on restructuring and lose sight of the real issues."
