Quincy Votes to Send CRR Representative; Final Election Monday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After five elections this Fall, Quincy House has decided definitely to send a representative to the Committee on Rights and Responsibilities, although the delegate will not be elected until next Monday.

Yesterday's vote was 122-106 to send a representative to the disciplinary body. Quincy voted decisively last week to hold a new referendum on the matter after 20 per cent of the house signed a petition calling for a new election.

Frederic D. Barton 71 was originally elected to the post in October, after members of Quincy contested the original referendum on sending a representative to the CRR. The House committee admitted that the referendum was rushed and that information distributed about the CRR prior the election was wrong.

Any member of Quincy may enter Monday's election but a run-off vote will probably have to be held to determine the final representative. The House Committee plans to hold the run-off on Tuesday.
