The race took place after the demonstrators had left Tower's office. When they tried to enter the old Senate office building, they were met by 50 police blocking the entrance. The demonstrators raced for another door, but the police beat them to it. The chase went around the building three times until the protesters finally won and collapsed in the corridor outside the office of Sen. George S. McGovern (D. S. D.).

Tomorrow's schedule calls for protests at the Selective Service headquarters.
