Earl Scruggs Revue. Earl Scruggs plays a mean banjo, which reminds me: Harvard is playing mean with its printers. Since 1968, printers' wages at Harvard have risen only 28 per cent compared to a 35 per cent rise in the consumer price index. Support the printers' demand for a 9 per cent pay hike instead of the piddling 5.9 per cent suggested by Harvard. John Lincoln Wright and the Sourmash Boys play second bill. Through Saturday June 1 at The Performance Center, 8 and 10:30 p.m.

Three Dog Night. Few groups have had as many AM hits as Three Dog Night. Since AM also stands for "morning," this reminds me that there are likely to be demonstrations with regard to equal admissions for women and in support of the Harvard printers' strike Commencement morning. Sunday, June 2 at the Cape Cod Coliseum, 8 p.m.

Bob McCarthy and Allan Taylor. I've never heard folk-singers Bob McCarthy and Allan Taylor, which reminds me that I've rarely heard anything so scandalous as the story of the Teamsters' betrayal of the United Farmworkers in California. You can help by boycotting non-union grapes, lettuce, and Gallo wine. For more info on the UFW, call 536-9465 or 288-9347. Through Sunday, June 2 at Passim. Call 492-7679 for information on the show.
