Fraternity Expelled

By Compiled FROM College newspapers

PHILADELPHIA--The University of Pennsylvania last week suspended its Kappa Sigma fraternity for "blatant ignorance of civil and criminal codes."

In a letter to the fraternity's 50 members, an administrator charged that Kappa Sigma had "an established pattern of disruptive behavior," including sexual harassment, racist behavior, physical assaults and religious slurs.

The university began an inquiry into Kappa Sigma's activities last September after fraternity members allegedly harassed an administrator who walked by the house.
