The Harvard heavyweight crew team Saturday finished fifth in the final race of the San Diego Crew Classic. The University of California at Berkeley won the coveted Copley Cup with a final time of 5:59.4 in the 2000-meter race.
Harvard finished in 6:15.5 behind Yale. Washington and UCLA.
The 12 schools competing for the Copley Cup were divided into two heats, and the top three finishers from each competition raced in an additional final round to determine the final rankings. Harvard finished second in the preliminary race, with a considerably better time of 5:52.2.
