Starting next year, Harvard juniors will have the option to spend their junior year studying at either Oxford or Cambridge Universities as part of the new Junior Year Abroad Program.
The program, sponsored by the Office of Career Services (OCS), will be limited to current sophomores who have achieved a Group I or high Group II record, according to OCS officials. Applicants must also present a "well-conceived plan of study and have two strong letters of recomendations" to enter the program.
It is currently unclear how many students will be accepted.
The year abroad program is part of a growing movement among American universities to make direct arrangements for study at some of the Oxford and Cambridge colleges.
