The Harvard sailing team placed second at the Atlantic Coast Championships at MIT, while the Radcliffe sailing team snagged third in the Women's Atlantic Coast Championships at the Naval Academy over the weekend.

Boston University finished just two points ahead of the Crimson on a wind-swept Charles River. Because of the extreme weather conditions, Co-Captain John Pernick teamed up with four different crew members--Jeff Kurland, Petra Schumann, Paul O'Connor and Scott Nathan--and scored 62 points in the "A" Division races.

In the "B" Division, Wagner sailed with the same four crews and tallied 55 points.

Navy placed first in the women's races, clipping Radcliffe by 15 points, while Old Dominion University checked in second, only six points ahead of the Black and White.

Julia Trotman led Radcliffe to a fourth-place showing in the "A" Division, while Betsey Robinson and Tami Harvey finished fifth in the 13-team "B" Division contest.
