Sophomore Tom Blake's victory over Yale's Mark Warnken spearheaded Harvard's sweep in the Yale Invitational this weekend.
Blake won his "A" singles match, 3-6, 7-6, 6-3. Other winners for Harvard were senior Todd Meringoff (6-0, 6-4), sophomore Brandon Bethea (6-2, 6-2) and freshman Mike Rich (4-6, 6-2, 6-1).
In the final doubles match, Blake teamed up with sophomore Philip Tseng to upend teammates Mitty Arnold (junior) and Meringoff, 9-8.
Besides Harvard and Yale, the tournament featured players from Brown, Dartmouth and Providence.
Harvard next plays in the ECAC Championships at Princeton on October 6-8.
