Kacyvenski Makes All-America Team

By William P. Bohlen, Crimson Staff Writer

Harvard senior Isaiah Kacyvenski added yet another accolade to his distinguished career as he was named yesterday to the American Football Coaches' Association Division I-AA All-America Team.

The 6'4, 240-lb. linebacker was one of four linebackers named to the first team. He was also the only Ivy League player named to the team.

Kacyvenski had 135 tackles this season, breaking his old school mark of 108 and bringing his record-setting career total to 395. The old Harvard career mark was 273. He also had two sacks, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries this season.

Kacyvenski was the first 40-game starter in Harvard football history.

He has already been honored with the "Swede" Nelson Award, given annually to the top football scholar-athlete in New England, and was a first-team All-Ivy selection for the third straight year.
