By Nicole B. Usher, Crimson Staff Writer

Tuition will increase next year to $34,269, a 3.5% rise, Harvard announced yesterday. The rise accompanies an increase to student financial aid.

Tuition has risen steadily over the past decade, but the current increase marks the first time in nine years that the percentage increase to tuition has risen.

Last year, tuition increased by only 2.9% to $33,100, while the year before, tuition rose by 3.3%.
