Radcliffe Raises $44 Million in Capital Campaign

By Andrew M. Duehren, Crimson Staff Writer

More than two months after it had raised $42 million toward its $70 million capital campaign, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study has now raised $44 million, or 63 percent of its goal, according to Radcliffe Dean Lizabeth Cohen.

The Radcliffe Institute’s campaign publicly kicked off in October 2013 with $26 million already raised. At Friday’s Radcliffe Day event, Cohen said more than 6,000 households had contributed to the campaign.

Radcliffe spokesperson Alison Franklin previously said funds raised in the campaign will be used for several of the Institute’s programs, including its Fellows program, which brings researchers and scholars to Radcliffe every year, and Radcliffe Research Partners, an undergraduate research program.

The Radcliffe campaign goal constitutes about 1 percent of the University-wide capital campaign goal of $6.5 billion.
