Indigenous People’s Day was commemorated in Cambridge and Boston with music, rallies, poetry, and dance. The holiday has been recognized by Harvard since 2017 and by the city of Cambridge since 2016. Many Indigenous community organizers are actively advocating for more towns to recognize Indigenous People’s Day and abolish Christopher Columbus Day.
