Here Comes the Boom

Sophomore Izzy Goudros loads a shot at the 2023 Crimson Elite & Multi meet at Gordon Track. Goudros recorded an 11.37-meter throw in the shotput event, and set a new personal best in the pentathlon with a score of 4173, winning the event.


Harvard Track and Field Makes More History at Crimson Elite & Multi, Scarlet & White Meets

The Harvard track and field teams competed in two meets this past weekend: the Crimson Elite and Multi, hosted at Gordon Track, and the Scarlet and White Invitational across the river at Boston University. The team saw great success, with multiple school records broken, as well as standout performances that resulted in a national record.


You Better Run

In 2020, members of the Harvard women's track and field team compete in the Crimson Elite Meet at Gordon Track back in January of 2020. This upcoming weekend, Harvard will host the same meet while sending some runners to the Scarlet and White Invitational across the river at Boston University.


Harvard Track and Field Breaks Five School Records, Winning 12 Events at Annual HYP Meet

Harvard track and field’s men’s and women’s teams made history during the annual Harvard-Yale- Princeton (HYP) meet at Gordon Track on Saturday, January 28. Though Harvard took second place over, five members of the Crimson broke school records both on the track and in field events.


Graham Blanks, Maia Ramsden Earn All-American as Harvard Cross Country Finishes Season Strong

On Saturday, Nov. 19, the Harvard men’s cross country team competed in the NCAA National Championships in Stillwater, Okla., its third consecutive appearance in the season-ending meet. Junior Maia Ramsden was the women’s sole representative, competing in the 6k for the second straight year and claiming 11th place. Meanwhile, the men’s team came 17th.


Quickie

A Harvard cross-country runner competes in the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown on Sept. 22, 2017. The Crimson is coming off a strong season, especially sophomore Graham Blanks and junior Maia Ramsden, who earned All-American status after their performances last Saturday.


Hares, not Tortoises

Harvard runners compete in the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Oct. 28. In that event, the women won the conference while the men came second. Led by junior Maia Ramsden and sophomore Graham Blanks, the Crimson continued its success last weekend in the National Championships.


Harvard Cross Country Finds Success at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships

This weekend at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in Van Cortlandt, N.Y. the women’s cross country team, ranked No. 25 in the nation, defended their title as Ivy League champions for a second year in a row while the men’s team finished in second after falling short to Princeton by three points. Two top-ten finishers and five top-eighteen finishers, along with junior Maia Ramsden’s individual title, provided the Crimson women with the scoring depth necessary to find victory.  The men’s team was led by an exceptional performance by Acer Iverson and Graham Banks, who became the Ivy League Champion and second finisher respectively.

Acer Iverson, Graham Blanks, and Matthew Pereira of the cross country team embrace after the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Oct. 30, 2021, where the Crimson finished first. One year later, Iverson and Blanks finished 1-2 in the meet, a first for the Crimson since 1969.


A Dynamic Distance Duo: Matthew Pereira and Acer Iverson Star in Track and Cross Country

Harvard's track and field and cross country teams were led by sophomore Acer Iverson and senior Matthew Pereira, who finished first and second in the 10k race at the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships on May 7-8 and earned All-American honors during the cross country season.

The Crimson competes in the Ivy and HBCU Meet on Dec. 4, 2021. This past weekend, it claimed ten individual titles in a second-place finish for both the men and the women at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships in New Haven, Conn.


Track and Field Claims Ten Titles at Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, Finishes Second Overall

This past weekend, the Harvard track and field team traveled to New Haven, Conn. to compete in the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships for the first time since 2019. With ten individual titles, the men and women both finished second overall, marking a strong end to the team’s season.


Track & Field Posts Blazing Times in Weekend Meets

Harvard Track and Field competed near and far this past weekend. The Crimson continued to impress as it has all season with dominant performances at neighboring MIT’s Sean Collier Invitational, Baylor University's Michael Johnson Invitational, and the Virgina Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia. With the Outdoor Ivy League Championships on the horizon, the team posted multiple marks which leave it among the programs best in recent memory.

First-year Victoria Bossong and junior Sharelle Samuel compete in the women's 600m race at the indoor track and field meet on Saturday, December 4th. This meet was the first of the season.


Fun Run 2

Harvard women's track and field competes in the Crimson Elite meet on Jan. 31, 2020. Although it had been away from competition for nearly two years, it has started off its spring season strong in 2022.


Track and Field Opens Spring Season With Strong Performances

Over the past two weeks, Harvard track and field has kicked off its spring season with four school records, a strong performance at the Duke Invitational, and a sweep of Yale in their dual meet. The early-season success sets a strong tone for the rest of the campaign.


Harvard Women's Track and Field Claims Ivy League Indoor Championship, Men Come Second

Following its successful pre-championship season, the Harvard track and field team traveled down to Armory Track in New York for the Ivy League Indoor Championships. The Crimson continued its season-long dominance, with the Harvard women placing first overall and the men placing second.


She's A Runner She's A Track Star

Harvard track and field participates in the Dec. 4 Ivy and HBCU Challenge, in which it earned 155 points for the women and 113 for the men. This weekend, the men came second in the Ivy League Indoor Championships and the women came first.


Crimson Breaks Records at Clemson and Boston University Invitationals

Following their performances at the Crimson Elite and Scarlet & White Invitational, the Harvard Track and Field program set program records in the men's 200m, 4x400m relay, and the 5000m, with near records in the women’s 4x400m relay, pole vault, and the mile.


Track & Field Finds Success at Crimson Elite Meet

The Harvard Track & Field program has been in strong form recently, breaking school records and coming out on top in the home Crimson Elite meet and winning multiple events in Scarlet & White Invitational.
