A resident of Cambridge since 1993, Jan Devereux is the president and co-founder of the Fresh Pond Residents Alliance neighborhood organization. Devereux has said she does not accept campaign donations from large real estate developers. She hopes to make serving on the Council a full-time job during her time of office, although she maintains that she does not intend to be a “career politician.” Devereux, who studied English at Princeton, is also the author of a children’s book titled “Poe the Crow.”
